How to Make Everly’s Crochet Summer Romper for a little one in your life. I made this for my granddaughter, Everly. I decided to make this into a free crochet pattern so you all can make this for the little girl in your life. Everly’s Crochet Summer Romper is made for 12-18 months. It fits my granddaughter, who is 2 years old, perfectly. She is a peanut and still wears it for 12 months. You will need:
Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton – Ecru -( 2 ) skeins
G-6 4.00mm
Buttons ( 1 )-1.5 inch and ( 3 ) .75 inch
Stitches:
Ch – chain(s)
sl st – slip stitch
st – stitch(es)
sk – skip
sc-single crochet
blo – back loop only
dc- double crochet
tr- treble crochet
rem – remaining
rep – repeat
Special Stitches:
Sm. Shell – 3dc in indicated stitch
Lg. Shell – 5 dc in indicated stitch
2 Crossed Treble Crochet – 2Ctr – Skip next stitch, 1tr into next stitch, 1tr into skipped stitch working over the previous tr.

Gauge: 2 x 2 inch ribbing =10 rows and 13 stitches

BIB:
Ch 16
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sc (blo) in the next 13 chs, sc in the last ch. Turn 15sts
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in the first st, sc (blo) in the remaining 13 sts, sc in the last st. Turn 15sts
Row 3: Rep row 2; 18 more times.
F0 and weave in ends.
Straps: make 2
Ch 61
Row 1: Sc 2nd from the hook, sc in the next ch, and each ch across. turn. (60
sc)
Row 2: ch 3(counts as dc), * Ctr over the next 2 sts, rep from * across,
dc is the last st. ch 3, turn. (58 Ctr and 2dc)
Row 3: ch 1, sc in the 1st st and each st across. turn (60sc)
Row 4: ch 1, sc in the 1st st and each st across. turn (60sc)
Row 5: ch 1, sc in the 1st st, sk 2 sts, lg shell in the next st, *sk 2 sts, sc in the next st, sk 2 sts, large shell in the next st.* rep from * across, end with sc in the last st. turn
Finish off and weave in ends. Sew the right side of the straps to the bodice through back loops only. Make sure both sides are right side up.
Waistband
ch 10,
Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc (blo) in each ch across, sc in the last ch. ch 1, turn. (9 sc)
Row 2-78: sc in the 1st st, sc (blo) in the next 8sts, and sc in the last st. ch 1, turn. 78 rows
Row 1: Turn sideways and ch 1, sc in the top of each row across. (78 sc)
Row 2: ch 3, 2 dc in 1st st, * sk 2 sts, sc in the next st, sk 2 sts, Lg. Shell in the next st, rep from * around ending with sc in the last st. turn
Repeat Row 2 11 more times.
Row 14: ch 1, sc in 1st st and each st across. (78sc)
Finish off and weave in ends.
Leg band:
Ch 7,
Row 1: sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc (blo) in each ch across, sc in the last ch. ch 1, turn. (6 sc)
Row 2-78: sc in the 1st st, sc (blo) in the next 4sts, and sc in the last st. ch 1, turn. (78 rows)
Finish off and weave in ends.
Sew the leg band to the legging part through the blo.
We will add the top to the bottom.
Add stitch markers as follows: count over 28 stitches on each side, add a stitch marker, count in 11sts, and add a stitch marker to the center.
Sew the top to bottom by lining the ends of the stitch markers. Sew together through blo.
Sew the back and bottom half together to form the short part.
To make the leg opening;
Count over 33 and add yarn to start the closing.
Row 1:
Sc in the first st and next 9 sts. Ch 1, turn (10 sc)
Row 2-4:
Sc in the first st and each st across. ch 1, turn (10sc)
Row 5:
sc dec over the first 2 sts, sc in the next 8 sts. ch 1, turn (9sts)
Row 6:
sc dec over the first 2 sts, sc in the next 7sts, ch 1, turn (8sts)
Row 7:
sc dec over the first 2 sts, sc in the next 6sts, ch 1, turn (7sts)
Row 8:
sc dec over the first 2 sts, sc in the next 5sts, ch 1, turn (6sts)
Row 9-10:
sc in each st across, ch 1, turn (6sts)
Finish off and weave in ends.
Sew ② 1.5-inch buttons on here.
Back side.
Count over 5, add yarn, and repeat leg opening Rows 1-6. I didn’t add button holes because the button fits through the opening between the sts, which keeps the buttons tight.
